Put your standing starts to the test in the Cam's first side-by-side regatta of the summer on a 1000m course between Ditton and Beer Tree.
Divisons run back to back, and there's a max of 8 boats per category. Barring catastrophe (or another set of re-rows) most rowers will be done within 2 hours... a bit longer if you make your final.
Every boat will get at least two races guaranteed. As a plate competition, each boat also has two chances to win! The winner of each category/band wins the cup, but those who get knocked out in the first race get to compete for the plate.
Prizes will be awarded for both cup and plate winners for events with four or more competitors (cup prizes will be awarded for all events).
Fill your pots at the prize-giving... we'll open the bar at 99s through the afternoon so you can fill your pots with prosecco and take a photo on the balcony!

Entries closed on Sat 17 May 25.
Late entries might still have a chance to race, to fill the places of scratched crews. Please email for details.
Entries were via Google Form or spreadsheet for bulk entries.
Entries should be paid by bank transfer directly to
Cambridge 99 Club Limited
Sort code: 20-17-35
Account number: 10228613
Reference: CSR_ followed by your club name (or club and crew name)
The fee is:
£100 per eight
£50 per junior quad
Scratches received before the entry deadline will receive a full refund - though this could take a few weeks to process.
Scratches recevied after the entry deadline may not be refunded. As this is a side-by-side knock-out regatta, scratches are disruptive and impact the racing experience of other crews.
Row-throughs are bookable via this Google form.
You can see currently booked row-throughs on this spreadsheet.
You can sign up for the race-day WhatsApp group for live updates, in case there are significant delays.
The event will run:
approx 10.00am to 7.00pm
between The Plough and the Green Dragon
We will gladly facilitate other river users to pass safely through the racing area. Please speak with marshals near the Green Dragon or The Plough.
Sun 25 May, 11am
To confirm, we have made the decision to shorten the course for today's race.
The race will now be approx 600m from Ditton Corner to the Railway Bridge.
Marshalling will now be meadowside (Green Dragon to P&E) for the first 4 pairs of boats in each division, and towpath side (P&E towards railway bridge) for the remaining boats in each division.
However the priority will be to have boats pulled in safely, regardless if they are in the correct order. If you end up in the wrong position, don't worry too much, but make sure a marshal knows where you have pulled in.
Lower boats (bands E + F) are reminded that you may scratch for a full refund if you do not feel your crew can boat safely in strong wind (eg if your crew are summer novices, or your cox is suffering from exam stress!).
All crews can also substitute any experienced cox, regardless of eligibility (eg if your coach is a cox, they could replace an inexperienced cox).
We also believe that our marshalling team and the shortened course should provide safe racing in the conditions.
Also to clarify: all boats should arrive to marshal for their first scheduled race, whether or not there is opposition - these are row-overs, not byes.
As other boats scratch during the day, there are opportunities for us to re-pair crews so that crews still get their two races!
Please do not attempt to contact your opposition if you need to scratch - we will rearrange the races.
